With its custom-engineered capsule and low-profile form factor, the black Rode Lavalier II omnidirectional lavalier microphone is a visually discreet solution when you need clear, intelligible, and tonally neutral speech reproduction for online content, vlogs, film projects, live streams, interviews, and broadcasts. Not only is the capsule easily concealed, the flat cable is also designed to be kept out of sight and threaded without hassle.
Thanks to an omnidirectional polar pattern and a frequency response that doesn't hype or hide important frequencies, the Lavalier II picks up sound naturally and consistently from all directions. Its 3.5mm TRS output incorporates a locking connector for secure attachment to wireless transmitters outfitted with locking mini-jack inputs. The Lavalier II comes fully equipped with a bundle of accessories, including a pop shield, mini furry windshield, colored ID rings, and a zip wallet.

Great quality as always from RODE.
I got this to use with my DJI Mic system. I love the small form factor of the DJI Mic, but it's still rather bulky to attach to clothes. The Rode Nav II works perfectly with the DJI, once you remove the locking ring (which takes 5 seconds to do.)
This sounds nicer, more full and rich, than the lav that came with my Rode Video Maker Pro kit. I also like the flat design, as it gives just a tad bit more space between the mic and the talent's shirt. The lapel clip is a different design, because the cord is flat (not round), and works well.
This is a great microphone that reproduces all tone naturally. The only drawback is the size with either the foam or the windscreen being too large. Ask your talent to wear black outside. Jean Charbonneau
This lav mic sounds great and is built very well. The wire is very thin and flexible and the pop filter and deadcat are high quality. The price is very reasonable for a lav mic of this caliber. HOWEVER... You can ONLY place this mic on the OUTSIDE of clothing. This is because unlike a traditional lav, where the capsule is located on the top of the mic head, this capsule is located on the front. This means that when you try to place the mic underneath clothing, the capsule is going to come into contact with clothing. This is true even if you cover the mic with the pop filter or deadcat. With a traditional lav, you can use a Rycote undercover or make a tape sandwich to place the mic under a shirt. This conceals the mic and also cuts out the wind. You can't do that with the Lavalier II, which essentially means you can't really use it outdoors. Yes, you could wear it outside your shirt with the huge fluff ball, but that looks extremely ridiculous and unprofessional. To sum it up, this is a great mic if you know you will only ever film indoors, and you are OK with seeing the mic. If you are planning on filming outdoors at all or need to conceal your lav mic, this is not the product for you.
These new generation microphones are vastly superior than the microphones they replace. The quality of the sound is excellent. Well worth the upgrade.
Coming from the old lav, this is a no brainer. They solved every issue I generally have with lav mics. My favorite part might be the cord itself. The flatness and texture of the cable is unbelievably tangle resistant. For the amount of time I have spent un-tangling cables, the money is worth the lack of headache alone! Audio quality is what you'd come to expect from rode. Everything they hype up in their promo video holds true. I've been paring it with the Tascam DR-10L and its been awesome.
Rode is always researching and pushing forward the technology to get a better recording for a variety of use cases. This is no exception. The clarity, if positioned correctly on your talent, is exceptional.
